Spiritual Direction

You are not a problem to be solved--you are a sacred story on a sacred journey toward becoming all God has crafted you to be.

Spiritual Direction

In the spacious and unhurried pace of Spiritual Direction, there is a chance to be present to whatever is present in you.

It’s different than counseling or coaching in that counseling will often go back to the past, coaching looks to the future. Spiritual Direction is about what is present in you right now that wants some loving, caring presence and attention.

Things from the past and future come up, but we make space for it right here, right now, listening deeply to the Spirit and also to your own deeper wisdom. Whatever comes--be it doubt, fear, anger, angst--I help you turn toward it with compassion. In this process, there is no agenda, assignments, diagnoses, or goals…except maybe to deepen in Love--of God, self, and other.

Inner Relationship Focusing

I also incorporate the rather phenomenal practice of Inner Relationship Focusing--which is a way to be compassionate towards all the parts of ourselves that feel alone, scared, worried, or overwhelmed.

It’s a lovely way to be human with both our messiness and beauty!

“I’ve been planning on writing an email to let you know how valuable you have been in my life and how thankful I am for you. You have walked with me through some pretty tough times and helped me to see God in the darkness. Thank you for your gentleness as you accompanied on my journey. Your wisdom was water for a thirsty soul. I am more my true self than when we began this journey together. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you.”
